The roaring twenties was an era that reveled in fashion and class and non more classy than the Rolls-Royce Ghost Alpine Eagle Tourer. Available only for the very wealthy this particular model was built for the more sporty of Rolls-Royce’s customers. It can of course be converted to a fully enclosed saloon as it is fitted with a hood and side screens for full weather protection or if wishing to travel as a completely open tourer without the hood and the side screens it has a rear Auster Screen which acts as a deflector to minimise the wind disturbance for those passengers in the rear.
This Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Alpine Eagle has been totally rebuilt to its original specification and has won three major trophies at the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club International Rally and was awarded the trophy for BEST CAR IN SHOW by Rolls-Royce Motors.
This particular Silver Ghost has another claim to fame as it was used in the TV Series ‘Mr Selfridge’ and in one of the photos you can see Actor Jeremy Piven who played ‘Mr Selfridge’ arriving with his daughter ‘Lois Selfridge’ Actress Kika Markham at her wedding after exiting the 1921 Silver Ghost, it was also used in the TV Series ‘Downton Abbey’.
We do have a matching pair of these Silver Ghost Alpine Eagle Tourers and one of the photos show both together.
